Sligo singer songwriter Hugh O’Neill has completed the recording of an, as-yet untitled, new five-track EP.
Recorded in O’Neill’s home studio and at Eden Vella Studios in Ireland and mixed at The Sonic Cuisine HQ studios in London, the five tracks represent a cross-section of Hugh’s brilliant songwriting abilities, combining both his mellow acoustic style and his punchy pop/rock side.
The fives songs on the EP are:
- For Today
- Fly Away
- It’s Time
- We See Everything
All five tracks were mixed by Wes Maebe and mastered by Christian Wright at Abbey Road Studios in London. The songs were written by O’Neill and Ray Still except For Today which is a solo composition.
Absolute Music Management’s Nick Dimes said: “We took the less conventional route of not pushing the levels too high on these recordings. As a result the tracks have air, they breathe and consequently sound great. We are now approaching record labels with a view to either licensing the songs or developing a long lasting arrangement. At this stage, anything’s possible.”
